From my years of gaming experience, this Xbox 360 Elite red light ring problem has gotten me into way too many headaches and costs me an arm and a leg. I have had a PS3 and a Nintendo Wii console as well but they never gave me any problem.
Upon searching the remedies online to fix my Xbox 360 Elite, I finally found out the main factor that’s lying underneath this whole red light ring problem and some quick fixes that you can apply to go gaming once again, temporarily:
1) You have to know that it’s totally an overheating issue on the Xbox 360 Elite.
This is probably due to the lack of R&D of Microsoft into the cooling mechanism of the internal Xbox 360 Elite itself as the electronic components inside are pretty complicated. If you’ve noticed, most of the damages on the Xbox 360 Elite can be seen on the graphic cards or the video scaler chip, and if you can prevent them from overheating then your will be fine.
2) Make space for your Xbox 360 Elite to ‘breathe’ better.
Often times it’s the air ventilation issue that’s causing the Xbox 360 Elite red light ring problem, so what you can do immediately is lay your Xbox 360 Elite in an open air whether you’re playing it or not so to make sure that it’s cooled down at all time.
Note: Many of you will put the Xbox 360 Elite in a cabinet, or book racks, or in a box when playing it, so please keep this in mind!
